Note for executables:

  1. To run the programs under Windows the run time components of Microsoft's DirectX Media higher must be installed. You can get it from Microsoft.
  2. Under Windows all DirectX Media videos can be processed. Examples are AVI and MEPG-1 videos.
  3. Under Sun Solaris only MPEG-1/MPEG-2 video streams (i.e. streams without audio) or collections of JPEG images can be processed. The JPEG images must be named "#.jpg"; for instance "9.JPG" and "10.JPG" etc.
