Setup
Type "setup" in the distribution directory to start dlb's  installation. The setup tool requests a destination directory for your installation (installation directory). Shared files and binaries are copied to this directory. Setup checks your RTP default values, tries to install the SDR 2 plugin (if sdr is available) and checks your PATH for ghostscript, which is required by the dlb for postscript rendering.
Environment
Add the path of the binary location of the dlb files to your PATH variable. That's atcually the path which you have specified in the "setup" tool for installation extended with "/bin". Otherwise, sdr won't  recognize the dlb plugin and the dlb won't find the tools smp and pssplit.

Set the DLB_HOME environment variable to the installation directory of dlb. That is the directory which you have specified in the "setup" tool.

The dlb supports two different ways of displaying postscript. You may either import postscript slides as images by using the built-in ImageMagick (tm) library or you can use gs for direct rendering into dlb's workspace, which is much faster. In order to use the direct postscript rendering facility, you will need to have a newer version of gs installed on your system. It is important that your PATH contains the location of gs.
