Teleseminar on Electronic Commerce
The Universities of Mannheim, Nice-Sophia Antipolis and Accenture are organizing a Joint Seminar and Telecollaboration Project On Electronic Commerce (in short: Teleseminar) for the benefit of their Students. A successful SOCRATES student exchange program exists between Mannheim and Nice since 1993. The joint teleseminar is intended to enhance the contacts between our students and faculties, based on telecollaboration software and the Internet.

The joint Teleseminar addresses students in Mannheim, Nice and Bruchsal to cooperate during a period of 6 months. The overall schedule is as follows:

  • Introductory seminar with all students in Nice, September 24-28, 2001


  • Cooperative, distance work during the winter term 2001/2002. The Mannheim students stay in Mannheim, the Nice students in Nice, and cooperation is through telecollaboration software and workstation videoconferencing


  • Concluding seminar with all students in Mannheim in February 2002.
  • The particapation, including travel cost and "cost of living" in the other city is covered by the sponsor Accenture, thus free for the students!
