Animation
Setup of the TeleTeaching-Seminar
MA - FR - KA
The animation visualizes the concerned network components during the
transmission of audio and video streams from Mannheim to Freiburg and
Karlsruhe. The beginning of the seminar:
- First of all the audio and video streams are broadcasted as
Multicast-IP-Packets with the LANs of the University of Mannheim
(Ethernet and FDDI).
- The Multicastrouter CISCO700 receives the Multicast-IP-Packets
and transforms them into IP4-Packets with the IP-Addres of the
central Multicast-Router from Stuttgart.
This procedure is named Tunneling.
- In Stuttgart the packets are transmitted to Freiburg and Karlsruhe.
Pay attention: In fact the IP4-Packets are
routed from Karlsruhe to Stuttgart. This is a loop way and the
route between Karlsuhe and Stuttgart is loaded twice.
- For this reason the tunnel was
reconfigurated during the seminar.
